Description

This is an extremely attractive tree but somewhat frost tender. It will grow rapidly in warm weather with large feathery leaves and has a very tropical look. The winter color can be somewhat bronze. The flowers are yellow puffballs. It does well in reflected heat and might be a great choice for Yuma. Eventually forms a dense crown to 25' x 25'. The pinnate leaves are large and there is a pair of thorns at the base of each. Native to subtropical Mexico.
