Dwarf Pampas Grass

Plant photo of: Cortaderia selloana pumila
Information by: George Hull MSN        Photographer: Mountain States Nursery

Description

Hardy, fast-growing grass from 4-6' tall and wide. This dwarf variety does not reseed nearly as readily as its full-sized parent, although seedlings should still be removed to avoid letting it overrun other landscape plants. Large, white flower plumes appear in summer, with numerous stalks to 6'. This is a female and does not usually set any seed.
