Common name:Sweet Acacia
Botanical name:Acacia farnesiana

Large thorny shrub or small tree has a soft texture as a result of its finely divided leaves. Bright yellow flowers have a light, sweet fragrance. Bloom is heaviest in the spring and may continue intermittently throughout summer and fall. Evergreen in mild winters. Branches are armed with paired spines to 2". Flowering can be impaired by cold.

Botanical name:Prosopis alba

This fast-growing, semi-evergreen tree will grow 20'-40' tall. Leaves are tiny and medium green. It produces yellow or cream colored flowers that bloom in spring or early summer and edible fruit pods. It has dark brown bark with thorns.

Bougainvillea

Common name:Bougainvillea
Botanical name:Bougainvillea X 'Rosenka'

This tender, subtropical evergreen does best with full sun and infrequent watering and feeding when established. It shouild be exposed to as little frost as possible.The light orange bracts age to a salmon pink color. 'Rosenka' has a mounding, cascading habit.
