High Desert Users
If you live in the high desert areas of Arizona (over 3,000 feet in elevation) please take some precautions when utilizing the information on this CD. While much of the information will be useful, some of the information may be specific to the low desert. Be sure to take note of the frost tolerance of plants. Plants that survive well in the low desert might have a hard time making it through a colder winter. In general, the high desert receives more precipitation, so the supplemental watering recommendations for the low desert would be greater than what may be needed for the high desert. Summers in the high desert are not nearly as brutal, so you may be able to grow some plants in full sun that require partial shade in the low desert.
